What would eveyone think about adding a section to the forum so people could write about hardware they have found that worked great or died trying to get it to work.. and also mabe anything odd or interesting they had to do to get it to work with debian or linux in general?

I think that would be a great idea. Were you thinking as a forum or putting that in as part of the site?
I think a searchable hardware database would be quite cool. Anyone else have any input on this? |

well we could make a area where people could post to it like the forum to keep it all nice and simple, but it would be a area on the page?

I was refering to the site vs the forum when I was mentioning that earlier. The site option would mean creating a database and some pages to put on the main site. The forum option is probably the best though as the other is alot of work and will probably never get done
I'll setup a forum here today at somepoint and put this in motion. Should we keep the artical titles specific to the piece of hardware and assume that we are talking about using these devices in Debian or what do you feel is best? |

ya, I think just adding them in the forum is easiest. I've added the group about a week ago. Now we just need to get around to posting something in it I had a couple things I was going to post but haven't had the time yet... |

Me too.. i find that i have a idea and start to post something and then decide it is not worth it or that i think it needs more work and never come back to it. good thing about the forum is that people can add to the same thing in a manner that will flow nice.
