Good day
I haven't used bochs before but I have used VM Ware long ago. I can't say a whole lot for either of them, but VM Ware is probably alot more polished and should work better than bochs. But bochs is coming along and might be worth a go (it is free afterall).
You can find the homepage at http://bochs.sourceforge.net/
You can install it with apt-get install bochs-x probably.
I believe you are limited to window 95 or winnt 4 with bochs at this time. What is happening with VM Ware when you configure it? |

Ahh, ya. You can download an eval copy of VMWare 4.5 from http://www.vmware.com/vmwarestore/newstore/wkst_eval_login.jsp which should do what you want I guess. However seeing as it would cost you $200 US dollars to purchase VMWare to run windows in, maybe you should look at what you need to run windows for and look for a solution to that? |
